I Thought I Was Going Crazy Counting Dogs… Until I Realized the Truth 🐶👀
You ever have one of those moments where you know you’re right… but reality decides to slap you in the face?
That was me today. Coffee in one hand, confidence in the other, staring at a cute little picture online.
“How many St. Bernards can you spot?” it asked.
Easy, right? I laughed. Counted once. Twice. Even did that thing where you squint like you’re suddenly a wildlife detective in a documentary.
Nine. I saw nine.
And I felt proud like I’d just solved world peace.
Then my friend messages me:
“Bro… it’s fifteen.”
FIFTEEN??
I nearly choked on my coffee. Was this a joke? A social experiment? A test to see if I needed glasses and therapy at the same time?
So there I sat — shamelessly zooming in, rotating my phone, flipping the screen like a confused boomer on FaceTime. And little by little, these sneaky, fluffy giants started appearing out of nowhere.
Behind trees.
In shadows.
Merged into rocks like canine ninjas.
One even looked like part of a cloud — I swear that one was personal.
And suddenly I was no longer just counting dogs.
I was questioning my entire perception of reality.
Who hides FIFTEEN St. Bernards in a picture anyway? What kind of mastermind wakes up and chooses chaos like that?
But here’s what hit me…
Sometimes life is exactly like that picture.
We think we see the whole story. We think we’ve counted it all, figured it out, understood everything in front of us…
And then life whispers:
“Look again.”
Maybe the magic, the mystery, the unexpected — it’s always there.
We just need to look a little closer.
So tell me…
How many did YOU see before the truth hit you? 🐾✨
